This is where it all began............
After Christmas 2009, I got the January blues, nothing to do and no parties to attend! I found myself looking for a new hobby! After attending a beading course and soon after joining a silversmithing evening class, I became hooked on jewellery making. So much so, that I started selling my pieces at local craft shows, much to my amazement.
It soon became apparent that there were few beading shops in Suffolk, so in November 2010 we opened The Bead Boutique in Long Melford. Our premises were tiny and after four months we were looking for a larger shop! Thankfully we found one on the opposite side of the street - some would say it was 'fate', I say it was bloody 'lucky'.
Since moving we've not had time to look back, we're both constantly looking forward to the next step and we hope to have an online 'Bead Boutique' shop very soon. I now love my job and even more, I love the shop - we hope it shows!
